ABOUT KRISTINA
Kristina was born in Crimea, Ukraine. Based in Buenos-Aires, Argentina.
2009- 2015 Monumental and easel painting. Moscow State Academy of Art and Industry, S.G. Stroganov.
2005- 2009 Fine and decorative arts, Moscow Art College named after N.S. Samokish, Ukraine.
Her works are in private collections: Hong Kong, France, Poland, Lithuania,Germany, USA.
THINGS SHE DOES
In her art practice, Kristina works with exploring themes of deep feelings and their nature, related to the realization of man's powerlessness against time and his loneliness. Kristina Kirilina's bionic style is primarily based on natural streamlined forms and smooth, curved lines flowing one into the other. The artist works with different materials and techniques: painting, counter-relief and mosaics.
PROCESS
Her research is based on a sense of time that incorporates memories from childhood and personal experience. It is an endless poetic reflection on the liminality of one's nature. We are forced to face a series of inevitable losses. The artist tries to find subjective eternity through the symbols she finds in the world around her.
SYMBOLS
In her work, Kristina uses symbols with which she feels an invisible emotional connection: roots, shells, trees, stars. All these sacred testimonies of time and at the same time the endless cycle of life.
MONUMENTAL ART
Monumental Art teaches to see the subject in it's totality, see connection between big picture and details.
ART AND MY LIFE
I have been painting since the age of 6. I am enjoying this art journey. It's trully interesting research and creative work with length of a lifeitime.
